Angel Sharp Media have extensive experience in documenting the impact of medical research. Over fifteen years, we have created over 100 films for a range of medical science clients, including the Francis Crick Institute, the Nuffield Department of Medicine, Cancer Research UK Oxford, the Royal Society, and the Medical Sciences Division at Oxford University.

We regularly film clinical settings (including surgical theatres), clinical trials units and specialised pharmaceutical labs, and have filmed in laboratories up to Containment Level 3. We are experienced in getting the appropriate risk assessments and patient permissions, liaising with complex organisations, and operating in sensitive environments.

Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care: Kadoorie Centre - NDORMS

Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care is an acclaimed blend of research and healthcare practice. It designs and tests treatments that deliver better outcomes for patients, while saving money for healthcare systems. We documented their approach, filming in sensitive environments including operating theatres.

This is the Crick – Francis Crick Institute

To launch their new institute, the Crick trusted us to deliver their flagship video, presented by Nobel Prize winner Sir Paul Nurse. Our hero film set out the mission and aims of this unique biomedical research centre to a global audience, and was screened when they were opened by Queen Elizabeth II.

Our Mission – Oxford Cancer

We were commissioned to highlight the challenges cancer research faces, and how collaborations between research groups will be crucial in the journey to a cure. Featuring Mark Middleton and Tim Elliott, the film met the challenge of showing the huge range of labs and departments across Oxford University Medical Sciences Division.
